Modern Day Launches
Voce helped launch a new wiki start up today (October 6) called JotSpot. Two of the former Excite.com founders, Joe Kraus and Graham Spencer, regrouped to build JotSpot - an applicaiton-wiki firm backed by top tier venture capitalists.
Now I've said up front several times before that I reference my PR firm, Voce, and our clients. So if this kind of post bothers you then I won't be hurt if you need to leave.
What makes this launch special are the people involved. Everyone at JotSpot has been working their tails off to make this a success. We've been in the trenches now for several months and I've got to tell you, it's been a lot of fun. The innovation, ideas, brainstorm sessions, messaging discussions and go-to-market strategies are the stuff that PR consultants live for. At least this one does. It really is an honor to be brought in at the beginning. To see all the work that goes into building a new company, a new product, and a new brand. It demonstrated a tremendous amount of respect for PR.
Good PR is good for PR. I believe that we did the industry proud. I'm proud of our JotSpot team.
I think it's a nice mix of blogosphere and traditional media exposure.
I'll help get you started - BusinessWeek, Wall Street Journal, C/NET...

There was no need to spell out your blogging policy - you have always been very upfront with it.
Nice launch on Jotspot, and I now need to go and try to get a beta :-)
Again, nice work pushing Voce to the forefront of the new PR, the cutting edge PR that other firms are now trying to copy.

Building things from scratch are my favorite projects. That is why I've been in start-up land for so many years, even given the uncertainties. Congrats on the great launch!
