Making It 6 Years

Something that's been on my mind this week as Voce celebrated its six year anniversary are the folks that helped us get this far but aren't here today to celebrate.  People come and go for various reasons but all Vocians, past and present, helped make us what we are today.  My thoughts are with talented colleagues that went back to school, took a position in-house, made a career change or moved out of the area.  Their pictures are around our office and we tell stories about them to keep the memories fresh.  Acknowledging them on our anniversary is another way to pay our respect for their hard work.

Jeremy, you run your own firm and can appreciate the significance of a sixth birthday better than most. Thanks for the well wishes. Becky and Fuc - two of the best PR pros out there. We celebrated a sixth birthday because of your hard work and I appreciate your notes. I firmly believe that our paths will cross again in the future. All the best to you. - Podboy

Mr. Podboy.

First, my apologies on the delayed response as I’ve been getting things situated back home, but do want to wish the group a happy belated birthday.

Second, have you gone soft? What is this!

Working directly with Podboy for four years I have come to see the world through his eyes, a world of determination, aggressiveness, and utter domination. But this, this is mind-boggling to see a man go soft in such a short period of time.

The six year anniversary is a huge milestone for the Voce family. Crediting the folks that have come and gone is a prime example of what Voce is has instilled in all of us, professional growth and family.

Voce had taken me in, and continuously pushed me above mediocrity to strive for more. I’ve also seen some folks come and go, but all I call friends.

The real credit goes to the leaders of the group, the captain and the crew for keeping moral up though the good and the bad, and steering all of us in the right direction.

To many more years to come.

The Bod.

Former Vocian!

Podboy, as always, you astound me, saying something deep and all. Voce was my first home, and the 4 years I spent there can never be taken away. You all walked me through a new city, a new life, family heartache and our triumph. You welcomed me with open arms, and you all pushed me, I mean pushed me, to do my best. And I did do my best, I rocked it with each and every one of you behind me.

I am so, so lucky that I got the chance to be with all of you. I'm convinced that no one ever had a lucky start like I did. It's bittersweet that I can't celebrate with you all, but you know you're always in my thoughts, and I practice what you taught me every day.

Happy Birthday Voce!

They're gone, not dead! That is a nice thought, though, about the colleagues that have moved on, and congratulations on six years, and look forward to reading your post on your 50th anniversary...
