Good morning, Vietnam! Looks like ol' Jay Rosen poked the hornet's nest with his article on PR bloggers who hadn't responded to the Ketchum/Williams issue. By now, most PR bloggers have noted their opinion and I think we've covered this one from all angles. Trevor, Tom, Neville, Shel, and B.L. have shared their thoughts and I think they're quite interesting. To his credit, Jim did comment before Rosen's call to action.
I should also publicly apologize to Mike for not sharing the "PR Watchdog Memo." Jeremy sent it to me a few months ago but I've been so busy that it was lost under a stack of papers and I never walked it over to Mike's office. My apologies, Mike. You are certainly part of the PR Blogging Mafia and will be a keynote speaker when I organize the PR Godfather Summit (think 1950s Appalachian Mafia Summit) where the boss' will agree on PR territories and which industries we control moving forward. Steve Rubel won't be there since he's graduated from blogging only about PR to focusing on the intersection of PR and blogging. Perhaps he, Scoble and Doc Searls will be part of a similar summit on controlling blogosphere territories.
Yes, I'm having fun with this whole issue. That's how I survive in the Silicon Valley. A feisty attitude and a sense of humor are required when sitting in grid lock traffic staring at a three bedroom, two bathroom, 1300 square foot house selling for 900k. Voce clients are going to get the best we have to offer today - and that includes PR consultation grounded in ethics and full disclosure.
That's it. I know what my gift for the Voce office needs to be.

I should have known you had the memo...hanging your PR blogger brother out to dry once again.
